Q:  For *either* your major, *or* the Discourse you chose for your short paper, identify 3 genres used by that group. (If you have links to samples and want to include them, you can, but it’s not required.) What do you know about these genres? What do they tell you about your field?

A: I choose to use the topic that I used in my discourse community paper. So, 3 examples of genres for the fishing community could be, deep water fishing, shallow water fishing, jig fishing. these three are all different types of fishing. the first two are kind of self explanatory as in the shallow water fisherman(which is me) typically never goes over 10 foot of water uses visible structure to fish. Deep water fisherman typically fishes 10 foot and deeper, mostly on ledges or saddles in the lake. the deep fisherman also uses graphs to keep on or find structure to fish. the third genre i choose is different from the other two because it is one of the most universal baits in the game. they can be thrown anywhere from 6 inches of water to 50 foot of water, and retrieved or worked in many, many, many different ways.
